Put a weekend getaway or a day visit to Littleton on your Wish List this year and sample all the holiday delights this beautiful White Mountains town has to offer, like shopping for unique gifts in our friendly tax-free stores, enjoying a special meal in one of our excellent restaurants, or taking a ride around town to marvel over the creative light displays.

During November and December, Littleton's walkable downtown becomes a winter wonderland of glittering lights, cheerful greenery, and sparkling window displays, beckoning visitors into the cozy shops and restaurants. The festively decorated community awakens memories of the delights of an old-fashioned Christmas of frosty air, sparkling snow, holiday carols and a cup of hot cocoa and cookies after a day of outdoor exploration.

GoLittleton Glad ShopLittleton's annual Christmas Parade at noon on Friday, November 26, is the official kick-off to the holiday season. Kids will get a kick out of seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus, bands, floats, horses, and more in the parade. Shops and restaurants are open all day for Black Friday shopping.

Friday, December 3, is the First Friday Winter Holiday Market, from 5 to 11 p.m. Stores stay open late for shopping, enhanced by artisans and music in venues around town. The Littleton Coop will host a hot cider stand on Main Street with all funds raised going to benefit Mt. Eustis, the local ski hill. A toy per person for the Toys for Tots program is the price of admission to a showing of the Polar Express at the Littleton Opera House. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 6. PJs are encouraged! Popcorn and hot cocoa will be served.

Light Up Littleton Project

The Light Up Littleton Project takes holiday decorating up a notch, with magical light displays on Main Street and in the River District, along with plenty of lights and decorations on homes throughout town, as the holiday decorating contest gets underway on December 1. Bundle up, pile into your vehicle and cruise along to view all of the beautiful displays and get ready for plenty of oohs and aahs!
