Be Glad! Make Music!

Harmony Park

Some towns are known for their scenery. Others are known for their shops or restaurants. In Littleton, music is part of the experience.

From impromptu piano performances on Main Street to summer concerts under the stars, music has a way of bringing people together in Glad Town. Whether you're a visitor spending the weekend or a local enjoying a summer evening, you'll find opportunities to listen, play, sing along, and simply enjoy the soundtrack of a vibrant community.

Music in the Streets

One of Littleton's most beloved summer traditions is the return of the public pianos along Main Street. Available for anyone to play, these colorful instruments invite residents and visitors alike to share their talents, try a favorite tune, or simply pause and enjoy an unexpected performance while exploring downtown.

Just a short walk away, Harmony Park offers a unique musical experience for all ages. Inspired by the late Dave Ernsberger, this outdoor instrument park features drums, chimes, and musical play stations where everyone is encouraged to create their own music. No experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to have fun.

Summer Concerts and Festivals

The arrival of summer brings even more opportunities to enjoy live music.
Littleton Summer Concerts and Festivals First Fridays transform downtown Littleton into a lively celebration of arts, culture, and community. Held on the first Friday of June, July, and August, these free events feature live bands, local artists, food vendors, and plenty of reasons to gather with friends along the riverfront and downtown streets.

Music lovers can also enjoy the popular Concerts in the Park series at Remich Park. Featuring talented performers from across New England, these family-friendly evenings combine great music, food trucks, and beautiful mountain views in one of Littleton's favorite outdoor settings.

A Town That Loves Music

Littleton's musical spirit extends year-round through Northern Lights Music, the iconic family-owned music shop that has welcomed musicians from around the world since 1978. Whether you're a professional performer, an aspiring musician, or simply appreciate fine instruments, it's a destination worth visiting. Down the street, behind Northern Lights Music, you can find a little hide away called The Loading Dock that features live bands and entertainment all year long.
